Steve Best joins the CKMP Lodge culinary team this year, eager to collaborate with Chef Hugo in crafting exceptional dining experiences. Originally from Ontario, Steve relocated to British Columbia four years ago and has immersed himself in the vibrant local food scene. His background includes launching and managing successful food ventures such as Peak & Terra Food Co., a hot sauce and condiments company, and Between the Bread food truck, where he delighted customers with creative, high-quality dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients.

A graduate of Canadore College's Culinary Administration program, Steve is passionate about creating memorable meals. His free time is spent exploring new recipes, enjoying the outdoors, and engaging with local food communities. He's thrilled to be working alongside Chef Hugo and the CKMP team to provide guests with delicious cuisine amidst the stunning beauty of British Columbia.
