Carl Kuster Mountain Park is a 15 year old vision of X-SnoCross Racer Carl Kuster. His idea for a "Mountain Park" stemmed from his passion for the backcountry and his love for recreational motorized vehicles.
CKMP is located in the “Gateway to Back Country Adventure” in the Monashee Mountain Range of British Columbia. Snowmobiling in Revelstoke, Sicamous and Valemount in over 60 ft of annual snowfall makes British Columbia the #1 sledding destination in the world.
How far is the nearest Airport?
Kelowna and Kamloops Airports are equal distance to CKMP Sicamous, if you do not count CKMP's private Airstrip. Distance is approximately 180km and 2hrs driving time.
Kamloops Airport is 1 hr from CKMP North Thompson, Albreda and 2hrs driving distance to Valemount.
Do I have to rent a car to get o CKMP?
If you so choose or CKMP shuttle service can be arranged.
What type of riding gear should I bring?
Mountain Snowmobiling is very different than trail riding, therefore the gear required
is very different. It is best to bring layered clothing and shelled outwear preferably
and waterproof. Lighter sets of gloves are required, puffy mitts will make it very
difficult to hang on to the sled in mountain terrain.
Can I rent riding gear?
Yes CKMP can outfit you with all the proper riding gear.
Does it matter if I've never ridden in the mountains?
No. However even the most experienced trail riders can find mountain riding a new
and difficult challenge.
